This site was created March, 2000, originally under the name of Yoda World. Currently Yodafans.net is maintained by Yoda Nut. Yeah, just me, but then again it's a small site.
Site Purpose : To create the most complete Yoda collectibles archive anywhere. Yes, there are other sites with great collectibles archives, such as YodaJeff's Yoda Site and The Star Wars Collector's Bible. Both are great sites, but Yoda World's focus will permit it to be updated more frequently and be more complete. Most of the other collectibles sites focus on Hasbro toys, and tend to ignore other collectibles in their archives. Hence, I think my efforts are not in vain.
Another of the site's intentions is to create a decent Yoda media gallery. I want this to be a place for Yoda fans to share art, wallpapers, screen savers, and more. If you want contribute, don't hesitate to submit your work.
The site will go through a lot of growth and changes before it is complete, but I hope to have fun doing so. I hope you enjoy the site. MTFBY.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is item X in your collectibles archive for sale? The collectibles archive is just a record of Yoda items to help collectors keep track of all that is out there. I neither have all the items listed, nor are any of the ones I have for sale.
How much is X item worth? Sorry, but I'm not a pricing authority of any kind, and any prices I give would be speculation.
I have a certain Yoda item and I need information. Do you know anything about it? If the item is not in the collectibles archive, feel free to ask. I may or man not know about it, but you'll certainly help complete the archive, and that's always appreciated.
How do I submit something to your site? Simply follow the submission guidelines. I welcome any and all fan submissions, so if you have something you want to send, don't hesitate to do so.
Why Yoda? Nobody asks this, but thought you might be curious. Well, because ever since his introduction in The Empire Strikes Back, he's struck a chord with me, as I'm sure he has with many other Star Wars fans. His small frame, comical yet wizened appearance, and calm potency give the character a style like no other in the original Star Wars trilogy, and it's obvious many of Lucasfilms licensees noticed the same thing because the sheer number of Yoda items on the market since ESB's release has been staggering. Hey, I've got no problem with it; collecting's fun is in the hunt, and the more items to hunt, the better. Plus focusing on one character helps curb the madness.
